Police are appealing for help to track down a driver after a shocking hit-and-run crash at Cedar Vale left a roadworker fighting for life.
Just after midnight, a white Toyota Camry struck a 66-year-old man working on the Mount Lindesay Highway near Cedar Grove Road.
Instead of stopping, police say the driver sped off, failing to render assistance.
The injured worker was rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital with life-threatening injuries, where he remains in a critical condition.
Investigators are now calling for the driver of the Camry to come forward.
Officers are also urging anyone who may have witnessed the incident or captured dashcam footage in the area to contact police immediately.
Investigations are ongoing.
