Matt Rowell has capped off a stunning season by winning his first Gold Coast SUNS Club Champion award in one of the closest counts in club history.
Held at The Star Gold Coast on Wednesday night, Rowell polled 72 votes, narrowly edging out captain Noah Anderson on 71, and Touk Miller just behind on 70.
The honour tops off a phenomenal 2025 campaign for Rowell, who last week became the club’s second Brownlow Medal winner as the AFL’s best player.
Skipper Noah Anderson finished on the podium for the third time in his career, while Miller’s consistency earned him a fourth top-three finish.
The night also saw Bailey Humphrey take out the Emerging Player award after finishing fourth in Club Champion voting, while Sam Collins was recognised for his strong finals showing, winning the inaugural Player of the Finals Series award.
Rowell also claimed the David Swallow Award (Players’ Player), rounding out a night to remember for the 23-year-old midfielder.
