A popular Gold Coast golf course has been damaged by teens.
The Parkwood Golf Course say their course was damaged by “kids riding scooters” on Thursday night.
The offenders tore through the green doing wheelies, leaving huge black tyre marks.
In a statement, the business says it’s a huge blow to their efforts, after only just having fully repaired the course after Cyclone Alfred.
“This kind of activity is highly destructive to the course and undermines the incredible work of our greenkeeping team,” the statement reads.
“It has already been one of the most difficult years for the course, with the cyclone taking out hundreds of trees. Our team has worked tirelessly to restore and maintain Parkwood Golf Course to the high standard our members and community expect.”
Police say the incident hasn’t been reported to police at this time.
More to come.
