Firefighters will return to the scene of a large bushfire on the northern Gold Coast this morning to monitor conditions.
The blaze erupted off Cabbage Tree Point Road in Steiglitz around 9.30am on Sunday, with dozens of crews needed to battle the flames.
A QFD spokesperson told myGC firefighters spent over 12 hours working to douse the flames, which reached heights of two metres.
Queensland Ambulance paramedics were also called to the scene and remained on standby, however thankfully no one was injured.
While the blaze has been extinguished, a smoke advice warning remains in place for the area, including residents in Jacobs Well and Norwell.
