An 18-year-old man has been charged after allegedly stabbing another man in the back at a Gold Coast home.
Officers were called to a private residence in Burleigh Waters around 5pm Tuesday, finding a 58-year-old man with three wounds to his lower back.
The victim was transported to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
The 18-year-old, who is known to the victim, was taken into custody at the scene and a crime scene was declared.
The alleged attacker’s now been charged with one count each of acts intended to cause GBH (Domestic Violence related), possessing dangerous drugs and possessing utensils.
He is scheduled to appear at the Southport Magistrates Court today, 29 October.
A police investigation continues.
