A teenage boy killed in a horror e-bike crash on the southern Gold Coast will be farewelled at a funeral service on the Gold Coast today.

Hudson Gagg, 17, died after an e-bike on which he was a pillion passenger on was hit by a car at Tallebudgera last week.

According to police, a Mitsubishi Outlander was headed east on Tallebudgera Creek Road around 4pm on Monday, 22 September when it collided with the bike.

Hudson suffered critical injuries in the crash and died at the scene, while the rider of the e-bike, another 17-year-old boy, was hospitalised with non-life-threatening injuries.

The mother of the boy who survived the crash, a long-time family friend, has since taken to GoFundMe to share her heartbreak.

“It is with unimaginable heartbreak that I share the devastating news of a tragic accident that changed our lives forever,” she wrote.

“On a day filled with fun and adventure, Hudson and my son Jydon were out doing what they loved most riding their E-Bike when a man in his late 60s driving a car struck them.

“Hudson’s life was tragically taken, and Jydon sustained serious injuries.

“These two boys grew up side by side, sharing every milestone, adventure, and dream. Their bond was unbreakable built on laughter, love, and countless memories of a childhood spent together.

“Now, as Jydon faces a long road to recovery, that deep connection is both a source of comfort and an aching reminder of their inseparable closeness”.

Friends and family of Hudson will gather in Tweed Heads today to remember and celebrate the life of the much-loved teen.

Those attending are being encouraged to dress “bright and fun”.
