Two teenage boys have been arrested after they were allegedly caught travelling in two stolen cars linked to a string of property offences across the Gold Coast.

The vehicles, a grey 2021 Audi Q3 and blue 2014 Mazda CX-5, were spotted travelling in convoy in South Brisbane around 6.30pm on Monday.

Polair tracked the cars as they travelled to the Gold Coast and back to Browns Plains where they eventually came to a stop around 10pm.

A passenger in the Audi fled the vehicle into nearby bushland, however the 17-year-old was tracked down by the dog squad and arrested a short time later.

While the alleged driver, a 13-year-old boy, ran into a nearby home where he was taken into custody.

The abandoned Mazda was located a short time later on Logan Road at Underwood.

The 17-year-old has since been charged with six counts of unlawful use of a motor vehicle.

While the 13-year-old has been charged with thirteen property offences relating to incidents across the Gold Coast and Calamvale in recent weeks.

Investigations continue.
