Three teenagers have been arrested following a brazen crime spree across the Gold Coast.
Police were called to Paradise Point around 2.40am on Tuesday, following reports a group of people had attempted to break into a home on Dobell Avenue allegedly armed with knives and bats.
The 59-year-old male resident confronted the group who verbally threatened the man, before fleeing the scene in two separate vehicles, a white Audi TT and a Mazda CX5.
The white Audi was spotted travelling westbound on Brisbane Road at Arundel a short time later, where police deployed tyre spikes, but the Audi avoided the device, striking a Ford F250 before driving off.
Around 3.30am, the blue Mazda CX5 was sighted in Bundall where more tyre spikes were deployed on Salerno Street, with the vehicle being dumped nearby at Bundall Road.
The Dog Squad was called in to help track down the occupants, with two 15-year-old boys and a 16-year-old boy taken into custody.
The white Audi remains at large, with a search now underway for the vehicle and its occupants.
Charges are yet to be laid, with investigations ongoing.
