Two teens in hospital after phone charger explodes

Two teens have been hospitalised after a phone charger exploded at a home in Yatala.

Paramedics were called to the private address just before 9.40pm on Thursday.

A teenage boy and girl were both assessed at the scene before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.

The pair reported suffering chest pain and breathing problems.

Both are in a stable condition.
