Police have charged a Logan man in relation to the alleged theft of more than $1.1 million of diesel fuel over a 12-month period.

The 48-year-old Greenbank man is accused of using stolen fuel cards to fraudulently obtain the fuel from unmanned diesel depots in suburbs across Ipswich, Logan and Brisbane between December 2024 and December 2025.

Officers raided a Greenbank property on 24 March, allegedly uncovering evidence of the fuel thefts as well as other stolen property and a home-made taser device.

He’s since been charged with seven offences including two counts of receiving tainted property and one count each of fraud to the value of at least $100,000, enter premises and commit indictable offence, and unlawful possession of weapons Category D/H/R weapon.

He first appeared before Richlands Magistrates Court on 25 March and was remanded in custody to reappear on 15 May.
