Apple has unveiled the iPhone Air, its thinnest and lightest iPhone yet, combining cutting-edge performance with a sleek, durable design. With a thickness of just 5.6mm and a titanium frame, the iPhone Air is both elegant and incredibly strong, making it a standout addition to the iPhone family.

Design That Feels Like the Future

The iPhone Air’s titanium design isn’t just about looks, it’s built to last. The front and back are protected by Ceramic Shield 2, offering three times better scratch resistance and up to four times better crack protection than previous models.

At just 5.6mm thin, the iPhone Air makes space for a bigger battery by rethinking its internal architecture. The new Action button adds quick access to functions like launching the camera or enabling visual intelligence features. And the 6.5-inch Super Retina XDR display with ProMotion (adaptive refresh rates up to 120Hz) ensures buttery-smooth scrolling and vibrant visuals, even in harsh sunlight, with an outdoor brightness peak of 3,000 nits.

Big Camera Energy

The iPhone Air introduces a 48MP Fusion main camera system that offers four different lenses in one device. Its large sensor shines in low-light conditions, while the optical 2x telephoto lens lets you zoom in without compromising on quality. Portraits have never looked better, thanks to depth control and the ability to turn any photo into a portrait after it’s taken.

On the front, the new 18MP Centre Stage camera takes selfies up a notch. With a square sensor, it captures wide shots and even rotates automatically for group selfies. The Centre Stage feature also stabilises 4K HDR video and allows simultaneous recording with both front and rear cameras. Perfect for creators, vloggers, or anyone who just really loves FaceTiming their cat.

Powered by Apple Silicon

At the heart of the iPhone Air are the A19 Pro, N1, and C1X chips, making it Apple’s most power-efficient iPhone yet. The A19 Pro delivers insane performance for everyday tasks and mobile gaming, while the N1 chip supports Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6 for faster and more reliable connectivity. The C1X modem ensures lightning-fast cellular speeds and uses 30% less energy than its predecessor.

How Thin is the Apple iPhone Air?

Extras Worth Mentioning

The iPhone Air supports eSIM-only connectivity, eliminating the need for physical SIM cards. This makes travel easier and enhances security since eSIMs can’t be physically removed. This is becoming a pretty standard feature on modern devices.

iOS 26 adds intelligence features like Live Translation for text and audio, better on-screen search tools, and updates to apps like Maps and CarPlay. Plus, new accessories like the ultra-thin MagSafe Battery and Crossbody Strap, available in 10 colours, make the iPhone Air even more versatile.
