Several youths have been arrested after a brawl at a major Gold Coast shopping centre that has seen a number of people allegedly assaulted including Police.
Police were called to Westfield Helensvale around 2.45pm on Thursday afternoon following reports of a fight between a group of youths inside.
It’s understood that one of the youths allegedly assaulted a man in his 60s, before a physical altercation involving several others broke out in the area.
Police and security personnel were also allegedly assaulted while trying to break up the fight.
A number of youths were taken into custody and are being questioned by Police.
The man in his 60s suffered non-life-threatening injuries and has been assisted by paramedics.
