The southeast has been lashed by severe storms with warnings of more to come this week.
The storms swept through Sunday evening, with parts of the Gold Coast and Logan seeing the worst of the activity.
Hail as large as 8cm hit some areas, including parts of the Hinterland, damaging some homes and cars.
The SES received 131 calls for help overnight, mostly for structural damage, with the majority of those coming from the Logan area.
The Gold Coast is bracing for a warm and unsettled week, with a heatwave warning also in place.
“We’re likely to see some high-end storms today in northern New South Wales and South East Queensland, and actually every mainland state is likely to see storms today, and that is going to continue tomorrow and Wednesday as well,” The Bureau’s Dean Narramore said.
The Gold Coast is expecting a top temperature of 33 today with showers and storms.
Tuesday and Wednesday will see more showers and storms with top temperatures of 32.
Thursday will see the mercury reach 34 degrees with more showers and storms.
