Police have launched an appeal for information as they try to piece together the moments leading up to a horror crash at Tamborine Mountain.
Initial investigations suggest a black Kawasaki ZX1000 motorcycle and a cream-coloured Yamaha XVS1100 motorcycle were travelling north on Geissmann Drive around 3.40pm last Sunday when they collided with a black Range Rover SUV travelling south.
The riders, a 63-year-old Poona man and a 55-year-old Rochedale man, were both rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.
A 33-year-old male passenger from the Range Rover was treated by emergency services at the scene for non-life-threatening injuries, while the 33-year-old female driver of the Range Rover managed to escape injury.
Investigations into the crash are underway.
Police are appealing for any witnesses, or anyone with relevant dashcam vision of the events leading up to the crash, to come forward.
