UPDATE | The male housemate of missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop has been released from police custody without charge.
The 34-year-old was arrested on Wednesday in relation to the disappearance of the 17-year-old.
“Detectives are continuing to run through several lines of enquiry as investigations continue, and will conduct physical searches when required,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
“Police are continuing to appeal for any information about Pheobe’s whereabouts.
“For investigative reasons, there is no further information available”.
Today marks three weeks since Pheobe was last seen on her way to Bundaberg Airport on May 15.
She never boarded her flight and has made no contact with anyone since, with police treating her disappearance as suspicious.
EARLIER | The housemate of missing Queensland teenager Pheobe Bishop has been taken into custody by police.
The 34-year-old was arrested in Bundaberg on Wednesday in relation to the disappearance of the 17-year-old who has now been missing for three weeks.
The alarm was raised when Phoebe failed to board a scheduled flight from Bundaberg Airport on May 15.
Police have confirmed the teenager’s disappearance is being treated as suspicious.
Phoebe’s housemate is continuing to be questioned by police, however no charges have been laid.
“A 34-year-old man has been taken into custody and is currently assisting police with enquiries as part of ongoing investigations into the disappearance of Pheobe Bishop,” Queensland Police said in a statement.
Investigations are ongoing.
