A man has been charged over a brazen daylight stabbing attack at a shopping centre in Ipswich.
Emergency crews were called to the centre on Main Street at Springfield Central just before 4.40pm on Saturday following reports two men had been involved in an altercation.
Upon arrival, police located a 57-year-old man who had been stabbed in the stomach.
He was treated at the scene before being rushed to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a stable condition.
Following investigations, police located a 23-year-old man at a home in Springfield Lakes a short time later and took him into custody.
The man has since been charged with one count of unlawful wounding and due to appear in Ipswich Magistrates Court today.
