WORKING IT FOR WELLSY

Over the years, close friend of the show Richard Wells has joined Galey in support of his ‘Galey to the Rescue’ events, by coming out in the middle of the night to help and raising much needed funds.

Unfortunately in January 2023, during a seemingly ordinary Monday night after school pick up and work. Richard decided to go up on the roof and get a few things done, something any of us would have probably thought nothing of – however it resulted in him having a catastrophic fall off the roof.

Richard spent 50 days in ICU ( the average time in ICU is 3-5 days) and has been in hospital ever since.

In October 2023, Galey decided it was our turn to give back to a man who has helped so many, so this Galey to The Rescue was dedicated to getting Richard home for Christmas.

On Thursday 19th October Galey was stationed at the Subaru dealership on Ferry Road in Southport wearing an inflatable ‘Wavey Man’ suit waving at all the traffic for 24 hours!

If you would like to donate to Richard Wells you can visit the GoFundMe page below.

This GoFundMe page has been set up to try and help with additional modifications that are needed and that go well beyond what NDIS can / will cover
