English Premier League giants Leeds United and Aston Villa are heading to Queensland for a series of matches involving the Brisbane Roar and Gold Coast football fans won’t miss out.

The inaugural Queensland Champions Cup has been set down for July.

A similar series involving Crystal Palace and West Ham had to be cancelled in 2020 because of COVID-19.

The three-match series will take place on the Gold Coast, Brisbane and Townsville.

The Roar will play Leeds at C-BUS Stadium on the Gold Coast on July 14.

Leeds and Aston Villa are then scheduled to play at Suncorp Stadium in Brisbane on July 17.

The series will then wrap up in Townsville with The Roar taking on Aston Villa on July 20.
