A massive win for the Kangaroos and new Australian coach Kevin Walters.

Star forward Tino Fa’asuamaleaui is reportedly set to stay with the green and gold.

The Gold Coast skipper has apparently pledged his allegiance to Australia ahead of the upcoming Ashes in the UK.

While the 25-year-old will likely play the three Test series for Australia later this season, there is growing speculation he may defect next year.

It comes after Fa’asuamaleaui openly admitted that he would like to play for Samoa, his country of heritage, with talk he may defect to Samoa for the Rugby League World Cup in 2026.

The Titans captain has held talks with both camps as he weighs up his decision.

It comes after Broncos star Payne Haas opted to switch his international allegiance to Samoa with immediate effect.
