A man is due to front court today charged with aggravated break and enter after allegedly stealing thousands of dollars’ worth of items from a business in the Tweed.
Police were called to a business on Greenway Drive at Tweed Heads South around 9.45pm on Monday 23 February following reports of a break in.
Officers arrived and were told that between 12:45pm on Monday 23 February and 7am on Tuesday 24 February, a number of items had been stolen from a shipping container at the rear of the business.
The items were valued at $25,384.94.
Following investigations, police attended a premises in Greenway Drive at Banora Point yesterday, where a number of the stolen items were allegedly located.
A 40-year-old man was arrested and taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where he was charged with aggravated break and enter.
He was refused bail to appear in court today.
