Swiftmania is set to take over the Gold Coast, with the city set to host exclusive screenings of Taylor Swift’s The Eras Tour for one weekend only.
The city’s peak tourism body Experience Gold Coast has partnered with the production company behind the Eras Tour film to bring the blockbuster to the glitter strip.
It will give local fans of the pop superstar the chance to watch her in-demand concert surrounded by fellow Swifties right here at Home of the Arts (HOTA) in Bundall.
“The cultural phenomenon hits the screens with eight shows of the concert film offering a once-in-a-lifetime cinematic view of the history-making tour this Saturday and Sunday, coinciding with Swift’s final leg of her tour Down Under,” Experience Gold Coast said.
Mayor Tom Tate has declared it another coup for the Gold Coast.
“We’ve managed to secure for Swifties fans her concert on screen,” the Mayor said.
“We’ve got eight screenings and there’s going to be only 1500 tickets available – so get in quickly!”
“Taylor’s worked hard to garner her remarkable connection with fans worldwide and I wanted to make sure that those of you who were unable to see her tour in person, can still relish in the magic of her live performance.
“So for those of you who missed out on going to her shows in Sydney and Melbourne, you can stay right here on the Gold Coast and come to HOTA”.
Tickets are set to go on sale here from 9am this morning at $19.89 – so get your friendship bracelets, cowboy hats and glitter dresses ready!
