Two customers have performed a citizen’s arrest during an attempted armed robbery in Biggera Waters.
A man is accused of entering the Hope Energy service station on Brisbane Rd at around 5.15am on Thursday.
Police allege he approached the counter and gestured that he had a weapon before demanding money and cigarettes.
A member of the public who was waiting in line physically restrained the man and tackled him to the ground.
A struggle broke out before a second member of the public assisted.
Police rushed to the scene, taking a 24-year-old man into custody.
No charges have yet been laid, with investigations continuing.
No one was injured during the incident.
