Thieves target Gold Coast warehouse in attempted arson attack

Police are investigating an attempted arson attack at a factory on the northern Gold Coast.

A vehicle, understood to be stolen, was reportedly rammed through the front gate of an industrial unit complex housing a luxury car business on Warehouse Circuit in Yatala just after 1am on Friday.

The offenders are then believed to have poured petrol throughout the business.

However, no fire was lit, and the offenders fled.

Firefighters attended the complex to help clean up the petrol.

Police are investigating.
