A man has been shot dead by Police after stabbing a man and threatening a female north of Brisbane.
Officers responded to reports of a man being stabbed at the intersection of Beerburrum Rd and Commercial Drive in Caboolture around 3.42am on Tuesday.
The offender fled the scene on foot, but was located a short time later, threatening a female member of the public on Margaret St.
An officer discharged their firearm, with the male offender dying at the scene.
The injured male was rushed to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a serious condition with a wound to his neck.
The female member of the public was not physically injured.
The matter is being investigated by the Ethical Standards Command, with oversight from the Crime and Corruption Commission and State Coroner.
Investigations are ongoing.
