LATEST @ 6.45AM | A man has now been charged with murder after another man was found dead at a home on the Gold Coast.
Police were called to McCrae Court in Maudsland around 6.40pm on Monday following reports a man had been stabbed multiple times with a knife.
The 34-year-old man suffered critical injuries and could not be saved despite desperate efforts by first responders.
A 54-year-old man was arrested at the scene and has since been charged with one count of murder domestic violence offence.
Police say the men were known to each other and that there is no ongoing threat to the public.
The man is to appear at Southport Magistrates Court today.
EARLIER @ 6AM | A major police investigation is underway after a man was stabbed to death at a Gold Coast home.
Emergency crews were called to McCrae Court in Maudsland around 6.30pm on Monday following reports of a fight between two men.
One of the men, aged in his 30s, suffered multiple stab wounds and could not be saved.
Another man, aged in his 50s, was taken into custody at the scene and is being questioned by police this morning.
A crime scene has been declared at the property, with investigations are ongoing.
