Two people are fighting for life following a horror crash in the Gold Coast hinterland involving a motorbike and two cars.
Emergency crews were called to Mount Tambourine around 10.30am on Sunday following reports of a serious collision.
According to police, initial investigations suggest a car was heading east on Tamborine Mountain Road when it collided with a motorcycle and a car travelling in the opposite direction.
Two rescue helicopters were tasked to the scene to assist paramedics on the ground.
The aeromedical crew treated a man in his 20s with significant injuries before he was airlifted to the Princess Alexandra Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Another man in his 20s was also treated for serious injuries before being flown to the Royal Brisbane and Women’s Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
Four others were treated at the scene for various injuries before being taken to hospital for further treatment.

The Forensic Crash Unit has launched an investigation and is appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant footage to come forward.
Investigations are ongoing.
