A teenage boy has been rushed to hospital in a potentially life-threatening condition following a late-night stabbing on the northern Gold Coast.
The 17-year-old allegedly became involved in an altercation with another male in an alleyway between Gower Court and Sudbury Drive around 10.30pm on Thursday.
The teen was knifed in the abdomen during the scuffle and was treated at the scene by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
His alleged attacker fled the scene before police arrived, with a manhunt now underway.
Police believe both males are known to each other and do not believe there is any ongoing threat to the community.
They’re appealing for anyone who was in the vicinity of Gower Court and Sudbury Drive around 10.30pm last night and may have witnessed anything or have relevant CCTV or dashcam vision to come forward.
