Police are investigating a destructive crash on the northern Gold Coast overnight.
Emergency crews were called to Leeside Place in Hope Island around 9.30pm after a Toyota slammed into four parked cars.
Shocked residents raced outside after hearing the loud bang, finding their vehicles damaged by the impact.
The female driver was taken to hospital for assessment and is being questioned by police.
A Queensland Police spokesperson confirmed they are investigating whether drugs were a factor.
No charges have been laid at this stage.
