Police are investigating a serious crash that left a teenage girl trapped in Southport overnight.
Emergency crews were called to Johnston Street around 11:19pm after a Holden Commodore struck a parked vehicle and power pole.
The passenger of the Holden, a female in her teens, became trapped inside the vehicle with firefighters having to use cutting gear to free her.
She was eventually rescued before being rushed to hospital with serious abdominal injuries
The driver managed to escape harm and is currently assisting police with inquiries into the crash.
Anyone with CCTV or dashcam footage is being urged to come forward.
