A boatie has had a frightening night after his vessel sank in the Gold Coast’s Broadwater.
The male skipper had no means of communication when his vessel began to submerge just north of Wave Break Island at around 1am.
Incredibly, a member of the public spotted him in trouble and managed to bring him to shore.
He was transported to hospital for assessment, but suffered no physical injuries.
The boat is fully submerged.
The matter has been referred to Water Police to investigate.
