The Mayor’s Christmas Carols is returning to the Gold Coast for its 15th year, with two free shows.

The annual spectacle will be held on Saturday 28 and Sunday 29 November at HOTA, Home of the Arts.

It’ll be headlined by ARIA Award-winning singer Samantha Jade and DJ Havana Brown.

For the first time, the event will also have a Ferris wheel.

Tickets are free, but limited to 4,000 people each night.

They’ll be released in two rounds at 9am on Monday 26 October and 6pm on Tuesday 27 October.

Families are urged to be prepared and get in quick, as the event always sells-out.

Mayor Tom Tate says the event has grown significantly since its humble beginnings in 2011.

“For 15 years, the Mayor’s Christmas Carols has brought our community together to celebrate the festive season, and this year’s event will not disappoint,” Mayor Tate says.

“There’s plenty of entertainment for the whole family to enjoy, including performances by The Royal Australian Navy Band Queensland, and even Santa will make an appearance,

“The popular Warner Bros. Movie World’s Looney Tunes Christmas Show will also return for another year.

The main show runs from 6pm to 8:30pm, followed by a spectacular fireworks finale.
