Two men have been left fighting for life following a horror crash in Ashmore over the weekend.
Emergency crews were called to Currumburra Road around 12.15pm on Sunday following reports of a serious smash.
Upon arrival, they found a Ford Falcon utility had slammed into a tree, leaving the driver and passenger trapped.
Queensland firefighters had to use cutting equipment to help free the men.
They were eventually rescued before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital with life-threatening injuries.
Police investigations into the cause of the crash are ongoing.
