There’s been a miraculous rescue off Gold Coast waters overnight after a tinnie capsized and sank.

A man and woman were on board the boat at the time and were left clinging to a kayak drifting in the Broadwater for around an hour just after 10pm.

Miraculously, a man who was on his catamaran offshore from Marine Parade in Southport heard their screams for help and rushed to their rescue.

The man then contacted water police who arrived on scene a short time later and transported the pair to shore.

The man, aged in his 40s, and the woman, in her 50s, were uninjured but very cold from being in the water.

They were both transported to Robina Hospital as a precaution.
