A driver has been fined following a chaotic crash at a busy beach on the southern Gold Coast on Sunday morning.
The chaotic scenes erupted around 11am, when an out-of-control Toyota Kluger clipped a family’s Toyota Prado along Tomewin Street before colliding head-on with a Holden Commodore.
The vehicle then veered off the road and onto the foreshore footpath, slamming through a pedestrian safety barrier before coming to a stop on the sand, miraculously avoiding any beachgoers.
Queensland Police also confirmed none of the drivers or passengers involved in the crash suffered any physical injuries.
The driver of the Kluger, a 40-year-old Banora Point man, has since been issued with a Traffic Infringement Notice for careless driving.
