A manhunt is underway after a man was stabbed on the northern Gold Coast.

Police were called to a home on Carissa Street in Coomera around 7pm on Monday following reports a man had been knifed.

A 29-year-old Labrador man was treated at the scene before being rushed to hospital with serious injuries.

“Subsequent investigations indicated that the man had been assaulted by a man who is known to him at a nearby address on Bloom Avenue, before presenting injured at the Carissa Street address seeking help,” Gold Coast Police said.

Officers declared a second crime scene at the nearby address on Bloom Avenue.

However, police say there’s currently no threat to the public.
