The Gold Coast is rolling out the red carpet this week, welcoming around 900 tourism leaders, innovators, and decision-makers for Queensland Tourism Week 2026.

Hosted across the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and The Star Gold Coast, the three-day program is all about sharing big ideas and celebrating our state’s booming visitor economy.

Experience Gold Coast’s Head of Destination and Engagement, Rachel Hancock, couldn’t be happier to host the crowd.

“Tourism Week provides such a vital opportunity to bring together our industry’s key players to share ideas, strengthen connections and shape the future of our hugely important visitor economy,” Ms Hancock said.

“Our destination welcomes 14.7 million visitors annually who contribute 8.5 billion to the local economy, so it’s fitting we host these important conversations.”

The jam-packed week kicks off today through the First Nations tourism forum, DestinationIQ, before rolling into the signature DestinationQ forum and the brand-new EventsQ program.

Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre Director of Sales Anna Case said it was an honour to host the massive turnout.

Over at The Star Gold Coast, Regional General Manager of Strategy Ben Murphy shared his excitement about being part of the action.

“The Gold Coast is renowned for its world-class tourism offering and Tourism Week is a reminder of the incredible impact our industry has on the community,” Mr Murphy said.

“We’re proud to welcome guests to The Star Gold Coast and play a role in showcasing everything our region has to offer.”

The week wraps up with the Queensland Tourism Awards Gala Ceremony, where the Gold Coast is a top contender across more than 10 categories.
