An accused paedophile is back behind bars after being arrested at the Gold Coast’s Pacific Airshow.
Alex Peter Anderson was taken into custody in Surfers Paradise on Saturday after allegedly entering the packed family event in direct violation of his strict court conditions.
Anderson had already made headlines last week when he attended the Ekka despite bail terms prohibiting him from being within 10 metres of children under 16.
After pleading guilty to that initial breach at Southport Magistrates Court on Saturday morning where he received a $300 fine, he was busted at the airshow later that same day.
Following the 23-year-old’s latest arrest, police charged Anderson with a new count of breaching bail, while further investigations allegedly uncovered an astonishing 17 additional offenses.
After spending the weekend in the watch house, Anderson’s matter briefly returned to Southport Magistrates Court on Monday.
His defence lawyer requested an adjournment to Thursday, leaving it uncertain whether the serial bail violator will attempt to apply for freedom once again.
