Lucky escape as fire rips through Upper Coomera home

Police are investigating a ferocious house fire in Upper Coomera overnight.

Firefighters were called to the Asher Court Property around 11.30pm following reports of a large blaze.

Upon arrival, they found flames had ripped through the single storey home, but thankfully everyone inside managed to escape.

Three people were treated at the scene by paramedics for smoke inhalation but declined a trip to hospital.

It’s not yet known what sparked the blaze, with fire investigators expected to return to the property today to try and piece together the cause.

Police have confirmed it’s not being treated as suspicious.
