Cyclist fighting for life after possible medical episode in Robina

A man is fighting for life following a push bike incident in Robina.

The rider in his 40s crashed his bicycle on the corner of Lancewood Crescent and Firebird Street at around 8.40am.

Police say initial investigations indicate the rider may have suffered a major medical episode prior to the crash.

Paramedics have transported him to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a critical condition.

An investigation is underway.
