A manhunt is underway for two masked men after another man was shot in Molendinar early this morning.
Police were called to a home on Macquarie Avenue around 4.30am following reports of a loud bang.
“Investigations indicate that two men with their faces covered gained entry to the residence, where a 38-year-old Yarrabilba man was shot” Gold Coast police said.
The man treated at the scene before being taken to hospital in a stable condition.
A crime scene was declared at the property, with a major investigation now underway.
“Preliminary investigations are continuing into the circumstances surrounding the incident, however, police believe it was a targeted incident and there is no ongoing threat to the wider community at this stage,” police added.
