Police are investigating two armed robberies on the Gold Coast where workers were threatened with a hammer.
A male entered a convenience store on Mildura Drive in Helensvale at around 5.45pm on Sunday armed with a hammer, before demanding money from a 30-year-old male employee.
The worker complied before the armed man fled with cash.
At around 6.35pm, a man armed with a hammer entered a cake shop on Cottonwood Place at Oxenford.
The man demanded money from a 39-year-old male employee before fleeing with cash.
No one was injured in either incident.
Detectives are looking into whether the two incidents are linked.
Anyone who may have seen anything suspicious in the area around the time of the robberies, or may have relevant dash-camera footage, is asked to come forward.
