A man has been charged over a brutal attack on another man in Surfers Paradise in the early hours of Monday morning.
Emergency services rushed to Orchid Avenue around 1.15am on Monday, following reports a man had been punched to the ground.
The victim, a 40-year-old man, managed to escape serious injury.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics for a cut to his face before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition.
A 21-year-old Logan man was arrested nearby and charged with assault occasioning grievous bodily harm.
He is due to appear in Southport Magistrates Court on October 17.
