A man has been charged over an alleged Police chase across parts of the Tweed while unlicensed and under the influence of drugs.
The 27-year-old Queensland man is accused of leading Police on a pursuit from Chinderah to Banora Point on Thursday morning.
Police pounced on the man, who is accused of resisting arrest, with several officers suffering minor cuts and abrasions while trying to restrain him.
The man is also alleged to have returned a positive test for methylamphetamine following his arrest.
He has since been charged with driving on a suspended license, Police pursuit, and resisting arrest.
He was refused bail and is due to front the Parramatta Bail Court on Friday.
