A motorcyclist is fighting for life following a horror crash with a ute in Burleigh Heads.
Police say the motorbike was travelling through a set of traffic lights on Oyster Creek Drive on the M1 overpass when he collided with a Toyota Hilux.
It happened around 8.45pm, with multiple emergency crews rushing to the scene.
Upon arrival, they found the rider of the bike, a 20-year-old man, with significant head, pelvic and limb injuries.
He was treated at the scene by paramedics before being rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital in a life-threatening condition.
The 43-year-old female driver of the ute escaped with minor injuries.
The Forensic Crash Unit has now launched an investigation into the collision and are appealing for witnesses, or anyone with dashcam of the crash, to come forward.
