A man remains in a critical condition in hospital after being struck by a car in Broadbeach.
The 30-year-old was attempting to cross the Gold Coast Highway near Victoria Ave just before 3.30am on Sunday when he was struck by a silver Mitusbishi Triton that was travelling in the southbound lanes.
The Burleigh Waters man suffered life-threatening head and leg injuries and was rushed to the Gold Coast University Hospital.
The 17-year-old driver of the Mitsubishi was not injured and is assisting Police with inquiries.
The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating with Police appealing for anyone with any relevant information or dashcam footage to contact them.
