Police hunt arsonist following suspicious Gold Coast business fire

Investigations are underway following a suspicious building fire in Ashmore early this morning.

Emergency services were called just before 3am to a business on Commercial Drive following reports of a blaze.

Multiple fire crews spent about 45 minutes working to douse the blaze, which was extinguished by 3.45am.

A crime scene was then declared at the business, with police confirming they are treating the inferno as suspicious.

They’re appealing for witnesses or anyone with relevant vision to come forward as investigations continue.
