A woman and three children have been taken to hospital after a nasty crash on the Gold Coast..

A grey Nissan Patrol was travelling on Cordyline Drive in Reedy Creek around 6.20pm on Thursday when the driver lost control and crashed through a brick fence at the front of a home.

The 31-year-old woman behind the wheel and three girls aged 4, 10 and 13, were all checked over by paramedics before being taken to the Gold Coast University Hospital with minor injuries.

It’s believed one of the children suffered a broken arm.

Adam Flory from Queensland Ambulance has told Channel 9, things could have been much worse.

“The impact of the vehicle.. there’s significant damage to that large 4WD,” Mr Flory told Nine.

“Considering the nature of the incident, it’s actually surprising the injuries weren’t more severe.”
