A carjacker is on the run after stealing a station wagon and crashing it in Beenleigh.
A 15-year-old girl was sitting in the front passenger seat of a 2019 blue MG ZS station-wagon near netball courts on Alamein Street around 6.30 Wednesday night, when a man climbed into the driver’s seat and forced her to get out.
The girl complied and the man then drove off, with the vehicle spotted driving dangerously.
The MG then caused a massive collision after smashing into five other vehicles.
The male driver exited the MG and fled the scene on foot.
Police conducted patrols of the area, with the assistance of PolAir and the Dog Squad, however the man was not found.
QPS say no one was physically injured during the theft or collision.
Police are appealing to anyone who has information, or vision, in relation to these incidents to come forward.
Investigations continue.
