Updated 9am Thursday 28th: Gold Coast theme parks have been in clean up mode since the Christmas Day storm cell that smashed the region, but while some are back up and running, others still remain closed.

Sea World is open and was the only theme park trading following the storm.

Movie World is now open as is Wet and Wild with staff working hard on the clean up.

Paradise Country has announced that it will remain closed until further notice and The Australian Outback Spectacular is back open for shows.

Top Golf will also remain closed until further notice with extensive damage caused by the wind, which ripped large portions of their netting, however, repairs are underway.

After opening a new section earlier this month, Currumbin Sanctuary has had to keep its doors shut today due to an ongoing power outage but have assured people “that all of the animals at the Sanctuary are safe and well, and being cared for by our dedicated Wildlife keepers.”

Dreamworld is back open but Tiger Island and their wildlife areas will remain closed to guest access and Whitewater World is still without power so will be shut.
