Two people have been injured in a horror crash in the Gold Coast Hinterland.

Emergency services were called to Tamborine Oxenford Rd in Wongawallen just before midnight on Monday.

A car had lost control and left the road before hitting a tree and reportedly rolling.

A male in his 20s was transported to Gold Coast University Hospital in a stable condition with a significant injury to his arm.

A teenage boy was also taken to hospital with chest and neck injuries.

The road was shut for more than five hours while the accident scene was cleared.

It has since reopened on Tuesday morning.
